59 Seconds & AI59 Video Festival Screening

Join us for a screening of the international 59 Seconds & AI59 Video Festival, a unique program that brings together pioneering video art from different generations.

Launched in New York City in 2005 by Project 59, the original festival featured 59 videos, each exactly 59 seconds long, screened around the world. Audience votes helped select the 59 strongest works, creating a remarkable snapshot of early digital video art.

Twenty years later, as artists increasingly experiment with artificial intelligence, the festival returns in a new format. 59 Seconds & AI59 invites viewers to explore the dialogue between the early pioneers of video art and a new generation of creators working with AI tools.

The program includes an eclectic mix of works: mini-documentaries, political satire, narrative and experimental films, visual metaphors, provocative pieces, and a special selection of videos inspired by the number 59 itself.
